Walter White, a native of the Detroit area, was raised in a musical family that sparked his passion for music at an early age. His formal training includes intensive studies at Interlochen Arts Academy, Juilliard, the University of Miami, and the Banff Centre.

Walter’s artistry extends beyond live performance. His trumpet work has been featured on numerous albums, film scores, and television soundtracks. As the owner of a professional recording studio, he produces music for commercials, records, TV, video games, and film.
He is also the creator of the Walter White Long-tone Accompaniment, a widely used play-along practice CD series that has supported brass players worldwide for over 30 years. A second volume was released in 2019.
Walter leads both the Walter White Jazz Quartet and the Walter White Big Band, who were featured performers at the 2024 Detroit Jazz Festival. His recent albums have received national acclaim—BBXL reached the top 40 on the national jazz charts, while Breaking Good received significant airplay and climbed into the JazzWeek Top 20.
An official Yamaha Artist and Clinician, Walter is also a Brand Ambassador for Robinson’s Remedies Lip Renew, a groundbreaking lip care product designed to support brass and wind instrumentalists.
